Many Japanese people visit a Shinto shrine during the first three days of January in order to make traditional New Year's wishes for health and happiness. This is called hatsumode, the first visit to a shrine. Some shrines like Meiji Jingu attract more than three million people worshippers every year.
I go to shrine every year on January 1st. This is a habitual things for me. I always go to Katou shrine with my family. There are a lot of people there every year and there are many stall. I am looking forward to it very much! If you never go to hatumode, you should go it next year! I think Hatsumode is a very important things .
